7 Day Cancellation policy

  • For Individuals: 50% refund for cancellations or modifications made 7 days or more before arrival. 

         Payment will not be refunded for any cancellation or modification made less than 7 days before arrival

  • For Groups of 6 or more: Cancellation terms will be set directly with each group

  • Cancellation requests must be in writing via e-mail

  • Payment will not be refunded for weather-related or personal emergencies 

  • Purchase travel insurance (from a third party) if you wish to safeguard your travel plans.

discounts for groups & longer-term

  • There may be a discount for long-term stays, but this is not available year round, please check with us.

  • Groups of 6 or more may qualify for certain discounts at specific times of the year.  Please e-mail us

Check-in times and late fees

  • Check-in between 3PM and 9PM ONLY

  • If you need to arrive at a different time you must contact us so arrangements can be made ahead of time

  • We are a small hostel and keep our rates low by not having 24 hour reception.  To facilitate an early check-in (before 3pm) or a late check-in (after 9pm) we need to make special arrangements for someone to be present outside of normal hours, which incurs a fee.  There is a $20 surcharge for any early or late check-inand you must arrange it with us a few days before arrival.  If you find this option unappealing we encourage you to book a hotel or motel elsewhere that has 24 hour reception.

more important information

  • No Rhode Island Residents.  Sorry, but it is a standard policy at almost all hostels that we are a place for travelers and visitors, not local residents

  • A valid passport is needed to check-in

  • We cannot guarantee a lower bunk in dorm-style rooms (reserve the private room if you want the lower bed)

  • There is a two night minimum on weekends.  It may be possible to book one night on some week-ends for an extra surcharge.  Please contact us before making a one-night reservation on the week-end

  • If your credit card is declined please contact your bank first before contacting us as they would know the reason the charge was declined. You may need to authorize a purchase made in Rhode Island.

  • Remember, we have a cat.  Meow :)
